The new century brought a radical change in the way people live. Technology and innovation are enabling far-reaching changes in the everyday life of each individual.

At first, it's a fact that the feed platform in the whole planet shifted to the healthy concept. Absolutely nothing that is not healthy, will be considered for the purchase decision of the consumer (in the past, many foods were consumed by a large population group simply for being delicious, now we are setting much as consumers in the real nutritional value of each food).

Before people had three meals a day only in order to "fill" and meet the physiological need to eat. Today people only eat what is absolutely healthy. Restaurants, fast food chains are adding each day healthier menus with healthier ingredients that make "click" with new consumers who repudiate the excesses of carbohydrates, saturated fat, sugar levels and an imbalance, diet ingredients. Diets today became a permanent way of life.

It is a fact: nowadays we are taking care of our body; previously we did nothing to take care of our bodies, we were spectators attending to a normal aging process.

Secondly, we are incorporating lifelong and daily practice of a sport or physical activity that keeps us healthy.  We understand that the body is the vehicle for better enjoyment of life.

Third, we are entering into spiritual dimensions that help us understand our significance in the world while we have life. Disciplines such as yoga, the practice of energy alignments, moments of spiritual sublimation to help us balance the internal loads of our triangle body, soul, emotions, are increasingly being incorporated into weekly and even daily routines.

We are becoming more spiritual!

Fourth, we are giving ourselves permission to choose what to work on and how. We are witnessing the birth of the "Telecommuting/Telework" as an alternative that aims to solve many difficulties such driving every day to work; traffic has become a global problem because vehicles are not fitting into the cities. The "Telecommuting" is solving the dilemma. Likewise it is lowering “office” costs in large corporations.

The telecommuting allows life perspective more focused on the pleasure and wellness of the individual, because “telecommuters” become the owners of their time.

But in addition to this, we are giving ourselves the luxury of working only in what we want, workers of the world today rotate heavily from company to company until they find the “right” work to suit their necessities, or a sole proprietorship invent where they set their own rules.

Technology, Internet and hundreds of software applications available to do anything, enable employees to design their own working path.

Finally, the affective relationships are now supporting a stress test, they have a due date based on the enjoyment of the relationships "live well and live well" is the philosophy.

With the above facts about contemporary and modern life, we are witnessing an increasingly important concept for each individual, which is the concept of Wellness.

Given these facts, we are left to incorporate a new level in the hierarchy of human needs of the Psychologist Abraham Maslow, and this new level is Wellness.

It is just above the need for security and protection. Before the third place was the need for affiliation and social belonging, is now up to the fourth level ceding Wellness the third place.

The new pyramid of the hierarchy of needs based on Abraham Maslow is:
